WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR WHEN PURCHASING HAIR

Hello Beweavers,

As you may now know, one of my most crucial “weave rules” is to stay away from cheap/low quality hair. Just don’t do it to yourself, especially if you are planing to have your natural hair exposed (a leave-out). To help out new and experienced Beweavers, I have put together a short list of what to look for when purchasing hair.

Research is everything

Virgin human hair is honestly the best hair to get our hands on, but it’s expensive. So if you don’t have the budget and are not able to save up, shop around so you don’t over pay for something that is not what is says it is. Many Beweavers often find themselves overpaying for hair, because they did not do the necessary research. Get some of your girlfriends to help you and ask them to come along for hair viewings before you purchase your hair.
Observe the hair

Check the hair before you purchase. Some places will sell over processed hair. Such hair can lead to problems and have split ends halfway to the root of the track. Split ends can rarely be fixed unless the hair is cut, and ain’t nobody wants to loose good length because of bad hair.

Take your time

Virgin hair is an investment, so you need to make sure you are ready and able to buy. If you don’t feel 100% comfortable with the hair, the seller or the price…don’t buy it . I recommend asking people with good hair where they purchased their hair. Don’t ask someone you have never seen, where they got there hair from, because hair, good or bad, always look great on the first day. Wait and watch, if the hair still looks amazing after a month, then approach, compliment and ask.
Don’t be cheap

Real 100% Virgin hair will last you a long time if you look after it properly. Any alternatives and will not last as long. I know sometimes there are budget restraints, but trust me, rather go natural or do another protective style, while you save up for good hair.
